Batik paint "DEKA Serie L" for batik and dyeing for white and light fabrics, 500g, deep black

59.00 €
Product code: 39590
Textile dye "DEKA-Serie L" for batik, natural fabrics and wool. The dye is not intended for synthetic fabrics.
Packaging – 500 g.
All proportions are calculated on 10 grams of color powder.
- Weigh the fabric to be dyed.
- Wash and rinse to eliminate any previous fabric treatment (softening, hardening).

- BATIKING: 10 grams of color powder are intended for 125 g of dry fabric. Dissolve the paint and 1 tablespoon of salt in 2-3 liters of boiling water, mix well. For wax batiking, reduce the bath water temperature to 50°C. Moisten the cloth, then slowly (without wringing) submerge it in the liquid for 15-30 minutes, stirring constantly. Dyeing results depend on the amount of powder in the dyeing bath, the dyeing time, the temperature in the bath and the fabric to be dyed, as well as other factors. Remove the cloth and rinse thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear. Silk and wool batik: add 4 - 6 tablespoons of table vinegar (5-9%).

- NORMAL FABRIC DYEING: 10 grams are intended for 250 g of dry fabric. Dissolve the dye and 2 tablespoons of salt in 4-5 liters of boiling water, mix thoroughly. When treating silk and wool, add 8-10 tablespoons of table vinegar (5-9%). Continue with the instructions in the previous section. For best results, keep the dye bath at a high temperature suitable for fabrics, maximum 90°C. For a deep black color, use a more concentrated solution in the bath, a longer dyeing time, and the highest possible dyeing temperature.

COLOR FIXING:
The fabric should be treated with "DEKA Serie L" fixative for batik colors (article: 50200).
1) Mix 25 ml of fixative with 10 liters of water.
2) Wet dyed clothing (the dyed fabric must be rinsed thoroughly before that) is soaked in the liquid for 30 minutes.
3) Hang the garment to dry (without rinsing in clean water).
The fabric can then be washed in a washing machine in cool water (30°C) on a gentle cycle.
For the first washes, wash the dyed fabric separately.
